Prominent VTuber Deme is going viral after making what some saw as a mean-spirited response to a tweet by YouTuber Chibi Reviews, and now, she's facing some bizarre allegations.

Deme's critics are alleging that, in a resurfaced video of Deme playing Outer Wilds from 2025, she is getting intimate during the stream, and although she's denied the accusations, people are doing everything they can to prove it as a way of calling Deme out for hypocrisy.

So, how exactly is Deme being a hypocrite? Did she actually get freaky during a stream, and how is social media reacting to all of this VTuber drama? Here's what we know.

Who Is VTuber 'Deme' And What Are The Allegations Against Her?

Deme, also known as Demenishki, is a popular VTuber known for her gaming streams. She's often referred to as an ADHD streamer for her high energy and tendency to quickly move from one thing to the next.

Back in August 2025, Deme hosted several livestreams in which she played through the video game Outer Wilds. Back then, nobody noticed anything out of the ordinary in the streams.

It wasn't until June 2026, when Deme got into a spat on X / Twitter, that people began reanalyzing one of the streams for evidence of some wrongdoing.

It all started on June 12th, 2026, when Deme made a post reminding her fans that she doesn't like inappropriate fan art of her avatar. This tweet was made shortly after she reposted an arguably inappropriate piece of art by @Meme_Aestheticc, showing her avatar stretching in a way that shows off her body.

YouTuber Chibi Reviews took the opportunity to call Deme out for hypocrisy. He claimed, in a tweet, that she was being hypocritical by linking "lewd" art while discouraging the creation of said art.

Deme responded aggressively, writing to Chibi, "wait omg aren’t you the guy who’s fiancé literally cheated on you and your whole friend group sided with her?" referencing a viral story about Chibi in which he was cheated on by his fiancée and kept in the dark about the whole thing by both the fiancée and his friends.

Some people saw this post as mean-spirited, especially considering that Deme has posted before about her troubled past with an ex.

One X user, @DenTekUser, took things a step further by posting a clip from one of Deme's 2025 Outer Wilds streams, claiming that in the clip, Deme is getting intimate with a man.

Their evidence stems from the way Deme's model is moving in the clip, the way she seems to be struggling to talk and some noises and sounds heard in the background.

Deme responded to the claims of hypocrisy and being "mean" by admitting that she is mean and has no respect for Chibi Reviews. She also clarified her stance on fan art, saying she doesn't like more explicit artwork, but is okay with lewd art.

She later responded to the accusations of getting intimate on stream by denying it, purportedly claiming that her boyfriend was even streaming at the same time, making it impossible.

This only got her more dedicated haters believing she was with another man while her boyfriend streamed nearby in their home.

How Are Social Media and Deme Reacting To The Allegations?

Being a well-known VTuber, Deme is receiving both a lot of backlash from haters and defense from her fans and viewers amid the drama.

Some of her most dedicated haters are combing through her streams, her boyfriend's streams and more for further evidence that she was getting intimate on stream.

While some claim that the evidence is overwhelming, others claim that there's nothing concrete and that the timelines of her and her boyfriends' streams make it impossible.

Others are defending Deme on the grounds that she openly suffers from BPD, while some make memes out of the situation, both supporting Deme and supporting the accusations against Deme.

Recently, on June 17th, 2026, Deme made another far more apologetic statement towards Chibi Reviews.

In this one, she apologizes for bringing up the memory of the cheating, as it purportedly made Chibi Reviews consider taking his own life. As for the allegations about her Outer Wilds antics, she seems to largely be ignoring them at this point.
