“The north wind and the sun were disputing which was the stronger, and agreed to acknowledge as the victor whichever of them could strip a traveler of his clothing. The wind tried first. But its violent gusts only made the man hold his clothes tightly around him, and when it blew harder still the cold made him so uncomfortable that he put on an extra wrap. Eventually the wind got tired of it and handed him over to the sun. The sun shone first with moderate warmth, which made the man take off his topcoat. Then it blazed fiercely, till, unable to stand the heat, he stripped and went off to a bathe in a nearby river. Persuasion is more effective than force. ”

idk. It's just a cheap comedy show that the IP holders made to test interest in the IP before greenlighting a more risky production like the manga adaptation coming up. I'll see how I like das Finale first.

I was watching digital foundry videos and it's so tiresome that modern PC gamers see 50% upscaling as normal now. I can immediately tell the difference when I toggle on 75%/quality upscaling and rarely use it, but 50% upscaling is seen as an optimized normal now.

>Residents in Reseda have expressed fear and frustration over a neighbor who spends time outside his window in the nude, often screaming and making gestures at others as he exposes himself, they say.
>Neighbors said their issues with the man on Garden Grove Avenue have been going on for years, but nothing has been solved. They said the man makes lewd gestures to adults and children, often screams at night and rents out several sheds in his backyard to transients.
>“He just starts screaming sometimes. Any given day, he'll just decide to lean out his window, start screaming for a few hours. It'll go on into the middle of the night,” said one woman who asked not to be identified out of fear for her safety. “I hear him sometimes at 2 in the morning, 3 in the morning, and it just doesn't stop until the next morning.”

Digital Foundry pretty much shills Nvidia tech as the standard so they're not that reliable. It also doesn't help that most games are unoptimized UE5 shit. When was the last optimized game we got, Pragmata? I'm waiting for Voice38 to crack it but most newer games ran like shit on my PC.

They all do it now though. Clickbait Unboxed recently did a video comparing upscalers by eyeballing them, they had no native render to compare it to.
>It also doesn't help that most games are unoptimized UE5 shit
GPUs are getting old now too. Except for the 4090 and 5090, the best cards in the market are still the 7900XTX (on linux) and 4080 super. Their stock is all but gone and the ones in people's machines are aging out.
UE5 is a shit engine but the problem is more devs who don't know how to scale its performance and turn all the shit with a fixed performance cost because they don't understand the state of the market on pc or console. Most people are on old cards or base model consoles.

They work reliably now, but Nvidia cards still have a 20-30% fps overhead on DX12 games. It doesn't make sense yet to use an nvidia card on linux because the older games that use DXVK via dx9/11 will run great on anything, modern games that use VKD3D-Proton via DX12 will run noticeably worse vs equivalent AMD cards, so you're paying the nvidia tax for no good reason.

>>149302 #
Anonymous
>>149301 #
Electric microphone turns sound into change of resistance, so if you connect it in series with a resistor and to a power source then you will get voltage which varies depending on the sound. Capacitor acts as a low pass filter in order to filter out the DC. Two resistors connected to the base of NPN transistor are needed to set the bias of the transistor, because transistor amplifies signals in a certain region. The output of this stage is amplified audio signal.

Ah, I get it now, you are studying more industrial side of electrical engineering. In that case you can use capacitors in order to balance the inductive load in devices like motors.
>batteries
Generally capacitors do not hold enough charge or hold it long enough in order to use them as "batteries".
There are also supercapacitors but this really isn't what people generally mean by a capacitor.
Well I guess you mentioned something before too which could be seen as one major application for them but you still haven't touched the main application what they have.

It depends on exactly what you want to do. If you want to just draw circuit for yourself I'd use paint/pinta, if you want to draw for someone else I'd use something like kicad. submit(v.)
late 14c., submitten, "place (oneself) under the control of another, yield oneself, become submissive" (intransitive), from Latin submittere "to yield, lower, let down, put under, reduce," from sub "under" (see sub-) + mittere "let go, send" (see mission).

The transitive sense of "refer to the discretion or judgment of another" is from early 15c.; especially for criticism or opinion (1550s); hence "propose, declare as one's opinion" (1818)

MGS games aren't actually that long despite the memes. iirc 2 and 3 are 12 hour games, 4 is like 4 hours minus cutscenes, 1 is about 6 hours. PW is about 6 hours long too since most of what would be cutscenes are dumped in audio tapes.

The thing is that the usual resistors/capacitors that you buy aren't really that accurate and their properties change by temperature a bit, so if accuracy is not important at all you can use these. You can start with the RC circuit and when you get it working decide if you need a crystal or not
They have this formula there f=1/(2.3*C*R), meaning to get 1Hz for example you need that C*R is equal to 1/2.3. Well, then the first problem is that you should find what standard values of resistors/capacitors give 1/2.3. You can use for example 43K ohms resistor and 10uF capacitor to get approximately 1Hz.

I don't mind ML upscaling in theory, I've been using it for video since FSRCNNX. The problem is that gamers are tasteless cattle so DLSS and FSR have been trained to be creative when reconstructing frames and mess around with details because the final result is perceptually better, like baking in sharpening to textures. >Copenhagen's Green-led council is limiting elderly care residents to 80 grams of beef per week for climate reasons.

>That works out to 11.4 grams a day, which is less meat than most people put in a single taco.

>A Green party rep explained the logic: the elderly "have been the biggest climate sinners throughout their lives."

You mean that software updates stop because they make a new android version to which your phone can't upgrade?
Tbh, I do not use phone as much as it would bother me. I do everything I can in computer, but I remember installing custom roms into my phone (which probably circumvent this problem) when I was a kid, but this generally resulted in me bricking the phone. I really don't mind losing my data with each new phone because I don't care much about the stuff I had on the phone anyways.

phones are more of a business item and this matters because down time with phone is time off work or away from important things that demand your perpetual attention. the lack of updates turns in to loss of app support and reduced web browser functionality. apple has the better support model in this regard for it's whole ecosystem and integration with it's computers

I know that but I don't see how you actually going to need the complex functionality for working. All you probably need to do with phones is to use it for scanning QR codes, navigation, communication with apps/calls/messages.
>This is professional, the chat app, zoom, and authenticator will cease to function without updates over time.
The essential apps will probably work for 6 years at least straight.
However I doubt you have had the same phone for 6+ years.
I think there is a bit problem with the android version madness shit but really isn't the case same for linux/windows, where you with windows you have one more centralized branch (like iphone) and with linux you have 100+ different distros and every distro has it's own strengths and weaknesses.

Tariffs on chink and cyber sovereignty initiatives have led to a slight fracture within the android ecosystem, but not a total one.

You can still get roms, its just manufacturer support goes away when they say it does, and many try to usurp google's intended position there in place of software provision to the end user but will inevitably cease providing support putting the device in stasis where it won't receive updates anymore.

The main reason why burgers don't use chinkphone is because they are mass psyoped into using iphones because they somehow sold the idea that only iphone users are worth speaking to for teenage girls.
>>150087 #
Anonymous
>>150086 #
>only iphone users are worth speaking to
Obamaphones, jeets, and international relations but also psyopping by apple to a degree. Thats more Android vs Apple, not the chinkphone question. They were banned because they were aggressive in the market with their products and they were decent at the time for what one got while being absolute spyware and more invasive than one's experience with regular phones.

Burger had no intention of regulating telemetry which would have mitigated that damage, they only banned their competition from the market and part of the ecosystem. China still makes functional and spec decent phones. They won't translate clean to android in burger.

>RFSoC (Radio Frequency System on Chip) is a highly integrated, single-chip subset of SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology that combines RF data converters, FPGA logic, and processors, offering superior Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) advantages over traditional multi-chip SDRs. While traditional SDRs provide flexible design options for low-volume applications, RFSoC is ideal for high-performance, high-bandwidth applications like 5G, radar, and defense.
