i have mixed feelings towards it, i baby it, but there's tradeoffs. i like the backlit features on new keyboards, but the design even on the rubber dome model ms is overengineered like a toyota hilux so that it just keeps going. so theres never a reason to get rid of it.
i can do without a numpad old powermac keyboards have the best numpad in my personal experience for mathematics, subnetting, and engineering stuff.
also the newer keyboards that are springy have the gift of being easier to clean with a can of air.

My keyboard has a moving gradient backlight. I got used to it because the changes I made in a windows vm weren't persistent. A lot of mice and keyboards still need electron spyware running on windows to configure them, some of them need it running to persist the settings. It sucks.

I can't recommend anything keyboard wise. I'm very happy with my endgame mouse though. I still needed a VM to configure it, but at least that persisted on the device memory. Very high build quality too. Kind of pricey though I think.
